Jhonatan Narváez is nationaal kampioen geworden van Ecuador. De renner van INEOS Grenadiers was in een spannende finale te sterk voor uittredend kampioen Richard Carapaz, van EF Education-EasyPost. Het was voor Narváez alweer de tweede overwinning van 2024, al was het wel z'n eerste officiële. In januari won hij al de Down Under Classic, een criterium voorafgaand aan de Tour de Down Under.
